Requirement management is an effective method for defining all requirements in complex projects and adjusting it to milestones and budget. IBM Rational DOORS^® is the leading tool for the requirement management.

All product data and developing processes are controlled in product lifecycle management systems. Product changes can affect requirements just as new or updated requirements can affect existing products. Requirements are therefore part of the product data, hence they should be stored in PLM system.

The XopenDoor enables  importing our in IBM Rational DOORS^® defined requirements to various PLM systems. This way the requirements can be integrated in company-wide processes, e.g. engineering changes.

Manufacturers of complex products are under pressure to meet high requirements as far as the control their products’ weight is concerned. Within the framework of product lifecycle managements it is becoming increasingly important to monitor and control all weight–related product data and if applicable to make the necessary adjustments, starting at the early phase of production right up to the completion of the development process.

Building on their existing PLM-system, usb’s weight management offers significant functionality for the monitoring and controlling of weight during the entire development and design process right up to the maturity phase of the product.

Aras provides the Aras Innovator suite of open solutions for enterprise Product Lifecycle Management [PLM] enabling companies to collaborate and innovate more effectively during new product development & introduction to deliver results. Aras Innovator is the most advanced model-based service-oriented architecture [SOA] for PLM and is available exclusively on the Microsoft platform delivering unmatched flexibility to enable companies to deploy quickly and adapt easily while maintaining upgradeability.

In addition to our stand-alones, such as Expedio, Change Administration and M³, we have developed a whole series of modules for Agile PLM. These add-ons are requirement management, configuration management, cost management, mass management and maintenance, repair and overhaul. Furthermore with the DOORS® integration and word to RM we have developed two interfaces that considerably simplify the handling of documents in the area of requirement management.
