Configit Software was founded in April 2000 by professor Henrik Reif Andersen, professor Henrik Hulgaard as well as three other PhD students at the IT University of Copenhagen. The core technology of the Configit Software is based on more than 10 years of research work in the area of formal verifications of hard- and software.

Based on this technology, today Configit provides one of the most powerful tools in the area of product configuration. As many companies that have dealt with the topic PLM longterm have found no satisfactory solution, usb with its partner Configit complements the product portfolio in configuration management.
