History of usb

The history of usb starts over one quarter of a century ago. Here you will find some details.

 

1982 - Foundation of usb with location in Munich - its objective is support and further development of the CM system for Tornado at today’s EADS
1988 - Expansion of the business to more areas such as product data administration and presentation of self-containing CM solutions
1990 - Extension of the Oracle competence, focus on aerospace as well as on defence technology
1994 - The usb joins the CS/CAM company group. CS as French managed company with more than 3.200 employees is active in several industry segments, such as aerospace, automotive, defensive, telecommunication and manufacturing industry. The CAM represents the CS group in Germany.
1995 - Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Detlef M. Haesner takes over the management
1998 - Partnership with EIGNER, Karlsruhe
1999 - CMII certification of first employees
2000 - Presentation of the new CM-module for Eigner PLM. The module was one of the first software tools that was certificated as “CMII compliant” by the institute for configuration management ICM (Phoenix, Arizona, USA)
2001 - Several other modules for requirement management as well as maintenance, repair & overhaul are developed by usb
2004 - Partnership with Agile, Inc. in San Jose, California
2005 - Formation of the PLM competence centre in the CAM group
2005 - Presentation of the new solution in the area of assets management with maintenance and repair.
2006 - usb joins ICP Solutions, the consortium of the three most important Agile partners in Europe
2006 - usb joins SAWE, a community of interests of mass managers
2006 - usb becomes reseller and partner of the Canadian company NGRAIN in order to market their computer based training software (CBT), designed for the maintenance and operation of complex products.
2007 - usb is awarded with the TOP JOB award for outstanding work in the area of personnel.
2008 - usb became ORACLE certified partner and usb signs partnership agreement with ARAS corporation, Andover, Ma
2009 - usb joins the BDLI (German Aerospace Industries Association)
2010 - M³® becomes registered trademark
2011 - Agreement with Oracle respective Innovation Management
2012 - usb is ISO 9001:2008 certified
